I've been trying to get my new (to me anyway) OpenSpot to play nicely with C4FM <> DMR transcoding. I confirmed yesterday that my radio and the OpenSpot work just fine if I use it for Fusion communication (with an FCS connector), so there's no problem with the OpenSpot hearing my radio, but when I switch the connector over to any of the DMR connectors, I'm in a world of pain.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason behind the unreliability - sometimes I can hear the stations that the Phoenix UK Live Monitor says are out there, and other times I can't. Sometimes I can connect to the Phoenix-F server, other times I can't, and the same with the UK South server. Everything just seems to be very unreliable.

The biggest issues I've found are that I can't, under any circumstances, transmit anything into the DMR network. It's hit-and-miss as to whether I even get listed on the live monitor, and even if I do, the most I get is a duration of '0' on it, which implies that it's only received a pulse and nothing more.

I've set my DMR ID, both in the connector page and in the settings page, and I've ensured the modem mode is C4FM and the DMR connector is active (it doesn't seem to matter which connector I use either - even if I just flick over to DMRPlus Dongle mode, it still doesn't seem to want to work).

I started out on firmware 132, downgraded to 131, upgraded to 135, and none of them seem to work, so I'm guessing it must be something I'm doing wrong somewhere. I don't have a DMR radio available to test with, I only have my Yaesu FT1, but the fact that it works fine with an FCS connector suggests it's not my radio, but something to do with the transcoding.

The setup guides on Youtube seem to be very out of date - does anyone have a list of things to check for making this work with current firmware please? I've tried following the manual, but even that doesn't seem to work properly.
