I'm using OS1 for a few years and it worked great for my purposes. Since it's the only one hotspot working with LAN out of the Box and no hustle with WLAN where every channel is multiple used in my environment at home (even if when travelling WLan would be good in hotel... But letter isn't my use-case.
In summer Brandmeister claimed in August this year changing API-format to V2. I didn't notice until one or two weeks ago when one of German master didn't work for a few hours and I first assume it was my fault since I got the message "connected to home-brew server" and not as ususal "connected to Brandmeister 262[12] Server".
So I chanded Hotspot-Security Password and tryed to renew API-key. But changing API-key didn't work. So I made reasearch in Telegram Groups and found Information on the API-change and especially in API-Key-Format. There was claimed, that API-Keys in old key format couldn't generate anymore and are not shown in dashboard but existing API-V1-keys would continue working "for a while"...
My key did work until this crash of bm2622 (?).
So I've got a few questions:
1) will there be a firmeware update for OS1 supporting Brandmeister API V2?
2) If not: is the Format of the Data-Blob in the CFG-Files anywhere documented so I could retrieve the old APIV1-Key still stored in one of my seldom used profiles? Base64/UUdecode doesn't work or may be the result it's some kind crypted or otherwise binary.
Or do you know if support for old API-V1-key was inbetween discontinued at all? -> Yes it seems so... since the profile I didn'd used for about an year doesn't show BM talkgroups an OS1 voice doesn't name the BM Server when connecting anymore... :-(
