New out of box.... blinking white. used lapatop to connect to openspotap. Selected a 2.4 network and told it to connect. It appeared to connect however never asked for the network password, switched to pulsing blue.

Another user also reported this issue in email that the openSPOT2 showed their Wi-Fi network with no encryption. We're still investigating this. What's the brand and type of your router?
You can also set a password:
- Switch the openSPOT2 back to AP mode by pressing the button for 3 seconds
- Open the web interface, click on the Exit button to exit the init setup
- Go to the network page and set the SSID and password, click on Save
- Switch back to client mode with the Switch wireless mode button (top of the network page), or press the button again for 3 seconds

Router is a dual band Arris used by Comcast Xfinity. I exited out of setup and saw that my WIFI name was there in the network info, so added the WIFI PW and saved. Poof. Worked. The device was ver 11 and I upgraded to V14 but haven tried the WIFI init again.... I might add. Tried some other WIFI routers seen in the scan and they did ask for PW. Probably is something w/Arris Comcast router,
Thanks,
Jim

I had the same issue with an Ubiquiti UniFi AP AC Lite. The OpenSPOT 2 did not recognize the network's security settings (showed "none", didn't allow me to enter a password). After restarting the AP, the OpenSPOT 2 then recognized the security (showing "wpa2-enterprise") and connected successfully using my password.
