Have owned this for about 3 days and have noted that it has dropped the wifi connection at least twice. It has done this without any apparent cause. When rebooting it will flash blue indicating it is trying to connect but never does. I have verified that my router is working properly and other devices are still connected. The only way I can fix this is to reboot it and go to the access point and log back into wifi.
So far I really like it, but find this to be annoying. Any solution on the way? Thanks.

What type of router do you have? We can't reproduce this issue.

I am using an Orbi net mesh router. I notice that my network quality will go from OK to moderate, then low, then it will drop the connection.
Sorry, I am new to all of this. What I have discovered is that I am losing the dashboard connection. I am talking about the link “sharkrf.link” which is managed by my DHCP which often switches IP addresses.
I can be watching the dashboard and see that it becomes sluggish and touch the network button that shows the internet quality is no longer OK, but moderate or low then I lose the connection. Despite this I am still able to transmit and receive to the hotspot from my radio. So, I am assuming this is an issue with OS2 connection to the device I am using to operate the dashboard???

I have both the open spot 1 and 2 and a few days ago I made a 70 mile drive over an area of secondary roads and very spotty in and out cell coverage. I used a Verizon Jetpack 7730L while driving one way and a Jetpack 8800L driving back the same road. I had the Open Spot 1 and 2 set to the same YSF Reflector, but on different radio frequencies. During the drive at times the OS1 would drop out first and at other times the OS2 would drop out. Of course both of them would drop out almost exactly at the same time when a cell signal was lost. The OS2 almost always connected first after signal was restored.
Maybe not a scientific test, but......I love the OpenSpot(s).

I am definitely having wifi connection issues. I have to regularly switch back to AP mode, then it will flash green and yellow but never actually connect to my wifi. After trying to create some profiles I rebooted it and now it will only flash green and yellow. Will not connect to home wifi or cellphone hot spot.

OK my bad...apparently I reset the unit and needed to go through complete configuration. Now able to access home wifi. Maybe I am too old to figure this stuff out..I have learned a lot, but apparently not quite enough. I want to set up profiles so that I can switch from home wifi to my cellphone. I have setup a call TG on my radio (9001)(9002). I seem to be clueless as to how to properly create a profile. The manual confuses me as to HOW to do this. If anyone can walk me through the process I would be grateful. Thanks and 73.

I think the easiest way is to copy the active profile to other slots, rename each slot, switch to them and change their settings one by one.

How do I change the settings once I switch to the profile??
HA2NON
Activate the desired profile, then edit the setting normally as you would do otherwise. All settings will be saved to this configuration profile.

Thank you! I was able to create a second profile to my cellphone. However, it seems I must switch between profiles in the dashboard settings. I was hoping there was a way to change on the fly? I programmed a call to TG 9001 and TG 9002, but sending that via my ht does not work correctly. Should that work? I appreciate your help and time to resolve this!

It does, but it doesn’t seem to connect to wifi. It just flashes blue and states it’s trying to connect to wifi.

Make sure that "Save to all configuration profiles" is checked on the Network page, Wireless settings section and click on the Save button so the current configuration profile's Wireless settings will be copied to all other profiles.

Done as you have suggested but profiles still will not connect to the wifi SSID in the profile. It simply flashes blue and announcement on TG9 says that profile 1 or 2 is active but then just keeps repeating trying to connect to wifi and never does. I have to resort to connecting to AP and defining which wifi network I want to connect to. It must be something simple, but I am missing it.

Anyone able to get the profiles to work properly?
W7rjr
For anyone following this thread I discovered that I am able to switch automatically between home wifie and cellphone by simply creating one profile and entering the two different SSID’s and passwords in the network section and save it. Now, as stated by another member of the forum it just switches to the other SSID when you get out of range. Unless you need to change anything other than SSID and password there is no need to create a second profile.
