Good Evening,
Ok I was just issued my new vanity callsign today from the FCC. I then registered the new callsign with my local repeater's website for D-Star. It was approved quickly and I then setup the terminal section of my account. I changed the callsign on my radio and OpenSpot 2. I can connect to reflectors but about 30 seconds after I finish transmitting the OpenSpot quick disconnects and then reconnects. I hope I have the correct answer to this. I believe it is that my callsign hasn't had enough time to populate the system and therefore the system is is not recognizing it when I transmit. Is this correct or is there something else?
Thanks
Billy

I think you should allow a day for the registration to sync with the servers. If the issue persists, make sure you've set the urcall in your radio as CQCQCQ and there are no spaces before or after CQCQCQ. Set your local module to D. You can test your registration by connecting to REF001 E, which is the echo service module.

Thanks for the reply Nonoo. I think it's working now. I have another question thou.
How often is the DMR callsign database updated? My new vanity call sign hasn't shown up yet.
Thanks

Currently we update it weekly on every Monday.

Nonoo, it seems to be still disconnecting and then reconnected after my transmission. This is happening on gateways and I’m using a space for the Local Module. I have the radio set to cqcqcq. Reflectors appear to be working fine after I put in the D for the Local Module. An idea what I may be doing wrong?
Thanks

Maybe the D-STAR server you are using still not synced with the D-STAR registration database and does not know your callsign. Ask the server's admin to look at the server logs.
You can also post a screenshot of your openSPOT2 connector configuration and we'll check the settings. Please turn on advanced mode before taking the screenshot.

Thanks for the reply. The problem has to be on the end of the server/repeater that I’m connecting to. I use the same settings and connect fine to other server/repeaters with no problems like I described above.
Thanks for your support
