openSPOT 2 Workshop Series
Bob_K6UDA
Guys,
I just launched a new mini series called the openSPOT2 Workshop Series. In it I'm going to deep dive into one aspect of osp2 setup or operation. For the fist video, I'm tackling getting your osp2 to automatically change from your home wifi to your iPhone hotspot. You can watch it here.

Hi, love you videos! I am new to the openspot2 and would like to change reflectors from my id5100 and not from the iPhone and openspot2 software. Can this be done similar to a DVAP? Thanks for the help. Andrew KN4HLD.

You can switch reflectors using your radio by starting a short call to their names as the destination callsign (URCALL), like REF001 A, or XRF001 A. You can also switch to DCS/XLX servers by this method - switching this way changes openSPOT2's active connector.
DTMF reflector switching will be supported in the beta firmware which will be available shortly.

Bob, I found you on YouTube before I saw the posting here but I gotta tell you, the 2 videos I saw from you were awesome. I did learn alot. What we need next is some FB live time to do some "experimenting" or hands on with others so we can compare notes.
I was able to get a OS2 to OS2 private call last night for the 1st time. Of course all the radios out there have some nuances as to how they behave and how to configure them. KK4FRI and I were trying to get the private call working but we missed was that the call confirmation had to be turned off (Thanks HA2NON!) I would have thought it was a BM issue and not a radio issue. Its those little things that would be great to discuss live one of these days, or just another work series video.

First of all THANKS to Bob and Norbert I am up and running Wires X on my OS2.
I am able to switch servers using the list or search for one using their 5 digit code.
Question: If I am connected on Wires X using one of the severs can I search and connect to a Node?
Do I use the DTMF node ID or use the DTMF room ID?
