This morning I figured out how to crossband from DMR to Fusion and had a conversation with a gentleman on a local reflector.
When I use the "quick setup" feature, choose DMR radio, and then NXDN, it will connect to a server, but do not hear any audio. I see the different hams talking on the status window, and the OpenSpot2 is transmitting, but that's it.
Do I need to do something different to hear the NXDN audio or is that another issue with Motorola not supporting something?
Thanks,
Chris

Make sure the modem mode is set to DMR and that the talkgroup you want to hear is your DMR radio's current channel's TX contact, or the talkgroup is in an RX group list which is assigned to the current channel in your radio, otherwise your radio won't open the squelch for the incoming group call.

Is it normal that when you choose a fusion collector that the modem automatically goes to the vocoder for that collector? I see the same and was wondering why when I tried to cross mode, I could not hear anything and then I saw the modem was not set to DMR so of course I would never hear anything. So that extra step to connect to another collector/server has us also changing the modem back to DMR. I know we could probably set up a profile so that when we bring up the other profile, its already set for fusion server with DMR modem set up correctly.
Nice feature perhaps would be a checkbox to tell OS2 not to change the modem, just the collector??

Each connector stores it's own modem mode setting. You can change that separately.
