I'm having a problem controlling my Openspot2 from my car. The issue seems I need to activate both my WiFi and Hot Spot on my Samsung Galaxy S7 phone to use the Openspot2, but my phone only allows "either" its WiFi OR Hot Spot, but not both at the same time. What am I doing wrong?

Your phone can only have one turned on for the following reasons.
Activating the hotspot will create a wireless access point that you will connect your openSPOT to. Your cellphone then provides an internet connection over the cellular network.
Activating WiFi on your phone allows you to connect your phone to an existing WiFi access point (.i.e. your home WiFi access point). When your phone is connected to an existing WiFi access point it is no longer using the cellular network for internet access.
Make sense?

If you have a Wi-Fi internet connection which you connect with your phone then just connect the openSPOT2 to the same Wi-Fi connection.
If Wi-Fi client isolation is not turned off in the Wi-Fi access point then you'll be able to reach the OS2's web interface from your phone. If Wi-Fi client isolation is turned on then you have to connect the OS2 through your phone.

I have the S8. I just turn on the hotspot and thats that. Be sure to have the "share wifi" also turned on or else it acts like a tether and not a wifi to LTE bridge.
Be careful, the Samsungs will look for a valid wifi and if it finds it, it may turn the hotspot off on you.
