I want to be able to change nodes using a DTMF code. On my OS2 I am using the YSF reflector using C4FM.
Do I use the DTMF -ID?
Do I use the node number?
I tried entering * followed by the DTMF-ID but it does not work.

You can find the ID of each server by looking at the YSFReflector server list on the OS2 web interface. Example: AT Austria DMR / DMR Link (03581)
To switch to this example server, enter *03581
Make sure the YSFReflector connector is active and you are using at least firmware v30.

Thank You for your reply. Looks like my problem is with my radio. I am using a FT2D. With the DTMF in auto I get the DTMF key to come up on the screen when I push the PTT button. I press that key on the screen and the keypad comes up. I then press the * key and (DTMF -) comes on my screen, but I cannot enter any numbers.
On the OS2 software the YSFReflector is active and I have the V30 firmware.

What do you mean by you can't enter any numbers? If I press the PTT on my FT2D, a DTMF menu button will show up, and if I press that on the screen then a DTMF keypad shows up where I can enter *03581 then release PTT.

On the Yaesu FT-2DR you will be able to do it as long as the DTMF is set to Manual.
But on the other hand, you can pre-program the DTMFs codes and associate them to the keyboard. This way transmitting and pressing one key you will in fact transmit the sequence pre-programmed. For this once registered the codes, you will have to have the DTMF in AUTO.
Good luck.

Thanks. That was my problem. I had DTMF in Auto.

I'm new to the group so firgive my basic questions
On the OS2 web page I see rooms listed as 3 digit numbers yet on the Yaesu wires-x web site the rooms have 5 digits. Can I connect to room 28299 for example. Via dtmf tones? What basic config should I use on OS2 connector etc. ?? I hope my questions makes sense. Also on my FTM400 I can get a search up when I hit the wires x button but it shows no data when I search for name or room #. Any ideas?

Probably you mean FCS servers and rooms, they have 3 digit numbers, the first digit specifies the server number and the last 2 digits are the room number (FCS199 -> FCS server 1, room 99).
Directly connecting to the Yaesu Wires-X network is not supported. However there are a few FCS and YSFReflector servers which are linked to the Wires-X network.
