Hey guys...
Looking to get an OS2 (Hopefully in the next few days ASSUMING they have any in stock)
BUT ONCE I DO GET IT
I plan to FINALLY make use of the Baofeng DM5R (Which has basically been DOING NOTHING BUT COLLECTING DUST since it can't be used on TRBO & DMR repeaters & just about ANYTHING on Analog FM short of simpler of course is ketchicancan as it were)
My question is IF I use it via DMR simplex & my OS2, will it transmit ONLY on the TG I'm ACTUALLY on or will it transmit on other TG's just as it does when transmitting directly into a repeater (Which is why I only use my Tytera MD-380 (Which I'll also use for some Hotspot use) when I'm on the air)

As far as I know the DM5R is a DMR Tier1 device which is simplex only and transmits in both timeslots, that's why it can't be used on repeaters. You'll be able to use it with the openSPOT2.

Thanks. That's awesome news to hear as it gives me another band OTHER THAN 440 Mhz. that I can use (That being 2M where we have some spectrum set aside for Experimental/Other in the local statewide bandplan here in Colorado (Which generally follows the ARRL recommendations when it comes to frequency & spectrum allocation anyway [emoji23])
Cheers & 73 [emoji23]
