Hi All
Is it possible to pass the IP address of the connected client to the index.html file for the IPC dashboard.
Thanks.
Cliff.

It could be added, however, currently it is not supported for privacy reasons.

Thanks for the fast reply, could you please add it to the wishlist.
The reason I'm asking is for banning IP at the firewall if needed, I know you can use the banlist but the ID can be spoofed, it just gives us a extra tool if needed.
Thanks.

You can look up a client's IP address in the server's log.

Can you please tell me where the server log is located.
Thanks Cliff.

The log file location is clearly stated on the GitHub page for the SharkRF IP Connector Protocol server.
"
By default, srf-ip-conn-srv forks to the background and logs to the syslog (/var/log/syslog on Debian-based systems).
"
Has this really become an issue on your SharkRF IP Connector Protocol server? Do you have a server-password set in your config.json file? Setting a password on your server seems a little more practical than blocking an IP at the firewall level.

Thanks for the fast reply,
Yes I have the password set in the config.
The reason I ask is I have the IPC hosted at our business COLO, I want to allow only the IP I know and reject the rest after logging them at the firewall, showing the IP on the IPC Dashboard is a fast way for me to see them without going into the logs.

Thanks.
Cliff.
