I noticed today my alinco md5 began to show my own contact info while listening to a couple talking. it would be correct for one person then the other would talk and I would see myself on the screen instead. I have a BM Local TG9 in the zone and i did notice BM Local at the bottom of screen when this happened. I must have something set funny, any help appreciated for sure. 73. KO4LJ

Maybe you turned on call rerouting at the Homebrew connector settings. You can turn it off by setting it to 0. Turn on Advanced mode at the bottom right of the web interface to see all settings. If call rerouting is set to 0 then post a screenshot of the Homebrew connector settings.

Correct ... for whatever reason I have "route cross mode calls to ID: 9 " I wonder if that has anything to do also with an irritation of Miss call notifications when doing private spot to spot qso's. It says miss call every time my buddy transmits. been all through the alinco manual so if you have a clue how to cut that off "unless this does it" please let me know. Thanks for your help it is very appreciated. KO4LJ 73

I think i was wrong. looks as though the 9 may be correct for that setting. i'll wait your reply, brain is still needing coffee here LOL

Missed private calls are stored and handled by your radio, check your radio's manual if there is a setting to turn off notifications. The route cross mode calls to ID setting only applies for cross mode calls, which you don't use. Please post a screenshot of the openSPOT2's call log for a call which you see invalid information on your radio.

thought i'd report back for future reference on the miss call problem for you. i didn't find an on / off for it but finally someone told me to change the hold time for group and for private in the digital fun section of the software. changed it to 5 seconds on both and fixed
it gives it time to complete the call basically. It works now. thanks 73
