When I put my UID in the initial page I get this error. It has been several hours since I got the spot online, does it take time for it to propagate or do I have some other problem?

Sounds like when you were entering your UID it was not recognized.
I had this happen to me once and it was because my OS2 wasn't connected to the wifi to internet.
Check out how to connect the OS2 in the first few pages on the manual.
In my case I had to connect to the OS2 using the IP address 192.168.99.1

Make sure the openSPOT2 is connected to the internet and wait a few minutes so it can report it's local IP address to the sharkrf.link service.
