It takes forever to download updates and databases, and I know the previous answer to this question is "Downloading updates are the lowest priority tasks the device do so they won't interfere with normal operation and also won't consume much power".
That's all well and good for "Auto Updates".
I suggest an "Update Now" button that performs these updates faster and with Priority.

YES! I totally agree "when" mine does an update it takes a very very long time and usually fails at 98% and starts over!?

Perhaps a tick box option option which would disconnect OS2 to prioritise update and re-connect when complete.

.....or perhaps connection via USB 3 to a PC or Mac to perform the update. I just got my OP2 and had to update the firmware from v51 to v58 and did it overnight connected to my iPhone. When I checked it in the morning, the update failed at 95% and had to redo it.
