Please include listings for XLX YSF capable reflectors in the OpenSpot and OpenSpot2. As a sysop for two XLX reflectors which are YSF capable, I would greatly appreciate it.
Also the ability to auto-connect to a specific XLX module would be extremely helpful. This can be accomplished by send specific DTMF sequences upon connection to XLX.

XLX servers will be added to our server database shortly. We are still emailing the developer of XLX to add a proper way (no in-band signalling) to select the remote module.

Excellent! I thank you, and I thank Luc.

That is incorrect, there is no DTMF support for module connect in YSF mode in XLX code.

'DTMF' is maybe the wrong way to list it, but 'Direct ID entry' via keypad is indeed possible. This is the avenue Luc suggests for radios lacking the 'X' button.

XLX now supports a default module set by sysop, so that is no longer an issue.
If you just append ;
http://xlxdmr.duckdns.org/xlx/XLXYSFHosts.txt
to your YSFHosts.txt import These then will just show in the same list .

True, yes I called Luc out on his incorrect 'via DTMF' explanation. It is direct 'En' (FT-70) entry as you say, I did a video for that and the FT3D on XLX389 dashboard. However wires-x will not be required for the default module connect as is now possible with pistar with my system.

I see that XLX hosts are now listed under YSF on the beta firmware update for the OpenSpot2; but unfortunately a connection cannot be established to any of the reflectors.
At least it appears that things are moving forward though.

We've checked and the issue is that the XLX server does not respond to YSFReflector status packets. It is missing from their implementation. We'll contact the developers of XLX to add this missing status packet implementation.
Update: we've just got the answer from the devs that they'll add status packet implementation in the next XLX server version.

Hi,
currently the connection to XLX with YSF protocol is working as remote gateway as it can be configured in MMDVMHost. Since we don't know how long it will take for the new version of XLX, could you add this mode?
Thank you,
Maurizio IW2GOB

What mode do you mean? The openSPOT does not use MMDVMHost. Also the next version of XLX will fix the issue.

I know that openspot2 uses its own operating system and that it has nothing to do with MMDVMHost;
however MMDVMHost currently works perfectly with the new version of XLX in YSF mode and I was wondering if it was possible to do the same thing in openspot.
Probably in this direct mode MMDVMHost does not use the status packet.
We hope that Luc will update XLX soon.

Hi,
now YSF status protocol support has been added to XLX multi protocol ver 2.3.4;
I have upgraded XLX 997, but I'm not able to use Openspot2 with my Yaesu FT-3D on XLX 997 Module C.
The connection between Openspot2 and XLX997 is right, but I cannot view the XLX 997 modules with Wires-x commands. When I press X on my ft-3d, I should view only the list of xlx997 modules....but I view all the ysf servers.
I think something is missing on openspot2 OS.
Thank you,

Go to the Settings page, C4FM settings, and enable "Ignore Wires-X button commands". This makes the openSPOT2 ignore Wires-X button commands, so the server will answer them, and lets you change it's module.

Thank you Norbert,
I have tried "Ignore Wires-X button commands" setting with "Allow data calls to network" setting and now I can see XLX Modules !
