Hi,
currently the GPS format of the Kenwood TH-D74 is not supported and the position is not processed by the connector aprs (format unknown). The users of the 74 would greatly appreciate the support of the GPS position, even if it is different from the Icom standards.
Currently ircddbgateway also supports the kenwood th-d74.
Thank you very much.

Try changing the format on your transceiver if you can.

Try using NMEA format.

I thank you for the suggestion; tonight I'll try these settings in th-d74.
I have just purchased the openspot2 and I congratulate you for the splendid development work you have done over the years.

Hi
I'm sorry, but I was reading the th-d74 manual and the waypoint format has nothing to do with the GPS data that is transmitted during a d-star communication. The waypoint format is used as serial output when connecting (for example) an external navigator (type avmap).
Unfortunately the GPS format sent by the kenwwod TH-D74 is different from the Icom DPRS standard. The only way would be to add its format to the openspot OS.
I understand that it may seem a useless implementation, but all th-d74 owners would really appreciate it.
Adding these little details would make the openspot2 the perfect product!
As for the GPS position of the th-d74, it would be enough to read the coordinates sent on d-star TX and use the openspot2 override function in APRS connector to manage the SSID and the message (in d-star mode).
Thank you very much,

There is a new v59 beta firmware has been released today. Norbert added a solution to invalid NMEA blocks from Kenwood TH-D74 transceivers when using handheld GPS position. Download and give it a try.

This would be a really nice thing to inform Kenwood about. They've been fairly responsive to bug reports -- they've fixed several of mine.
If you have any further details you can share, I'd be willing to forward the info to their support team.
