I seem to have no problem connecting to or changing nodes/rooms when using the OS2 dashboard on my MacBook but when I try to use my iPhone Safari OS2 dashboard to control the OS2 I cannot disconnect from one room and move to another. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What do you see when you try to change servers/rooms?
Have you tried using the latest version of Chrome on your phone?
Rick54321
Yes, I have tried both Chrome and Safari with no luck. Any thoughts?

A new problem has presented itself. I can control OS2 from the dashboard on my MacBook Pro while connected the MacBook is connected to my home wireless network without any issues. But when I want to use the OS2 with my iPhone as a Hotspot I have a problem. I shut down the OS2 dashboard on my MacBook and turn on my iPhone Hotspot function and switch the OS2 to AP mode with the white light blinking by pressing the reset button for 3 seconds. I then try to connect to the OS2 dashboard on my iPhone but without success - it just keeps "working" and does not connect. I have tried to access the dashboard IP address (192.168.1.240) from both Safari and Chrome on my iPhone without success. I apologize if I am doing something wrong but would really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance. Rick

If the openSPOT2 is in AP mode (indicated by white LED), it disconnects from any Wi-Fi network and starts broadcasting it's own Wi-Fi network called "openSPOT2 AP".
Here's a quick tip on setting up the OS2 both for home and phone Wi-Fi connections:
- Open the web interface on your laptop (make sure the OS2 is not in AP mode).
- Go to the Network page, Wireless settings section on the OS2 web interface.
- Make sure Advanced mode is turned on (there's a checkbox for that at the bottom right of the web interface).
- Set your home Wi-Fi as SSID #1 (and key) and your phone's Wi-Fi as SSID #2 (and key). If your home Wi-Fi (SSID #1) is not reachable then the openSPOT2 will automatically try to connect to your phone's Wi-Fi (SSID #2).
Make sure you enter passwords case sensitive.
If you use an iPhone then make sure you use the Save button at the Wireless scan list to save the iPhone's Wi-Fi network to SSID #2 as it contains a special apostrophe character which you can't enter using your keyboard.
Also keep in mind that iPhones only broadcast their hotspot Wi-Fi ID while the Wi-Fi hotspot settings page is kept open on the phone. If it is not open, then the Wi-Fi hotspot won't show up in the openSPOT2's Wi-Fi scan list.

Thanks for the information. I have followed your steps but my iPhone is not showing up as an available wifi network connection during the OS2 initialization even though my iPhone hotspot is running in the background. I have tried to manually connect using the iPhone SSID and key without success. Any suggestions? Thanks very much in advance.

Open the web interface on your laptop, and do the Wi-Fi scan from there. Keep the iPhone's Wi-Fi hotspot settings page open while doing this. Make sure the iPhone is placed close to the openSPOT2.

Here's what I have done:
1. Started iPhone hotspot and put phone next to OS2
2. On OS2 laptop dashboard (laptop connected to home wifi) went to Network then to Wireless Scan
3. Scanned and found iPhone hotspot in list and clicked Save next to it
4. Box opened asking for iPhone SSID and password - put in both and saved to #2 SSID slot (home wifi is in #1 slot).
5. Dashboard refreshed, clicked on Network, still connected to home wifi
Sorry for all the trouble but appreciate any help. And Happy New Year! Rick

The OS2 always tries connecting to SSID#1 first. It only tries SSID#2 if it can't connect to the first one (it tries several times so allow at least 30 seconds for it to try)
