Holding the Wi-Fi button for 3 seconds does not reset the Wi-Fi, it just switches between AP mode and normal (client) operation mode. You can find some Wi-Fi troubleshooting tips in the user manual at

Agreed, but my point was that after a failed attempt to connect with my home wifi then switching back to the AP mode only resulted in the light saying I was connected, but the web interface would not respond. Your answer does not address this.
