(OS2 with latest v62, and Anytone 878 radio) I seem to get broken reception on just about every station I listen to. Yesterday it was so bad that
all
of the audio of every station on any TG I tried (mostly I listen to 91 and 3100) was stuttering and unintelligible. Today it is better but still very broken and repeated buzzing, dropouts etc. I tried a wifi firmware re-flash and that didn't make a difference. Also tried changing the Modulation Mode from 4FSK-RC (Raised Cosine) to plain 4FSK and that didn't help. Other stations are reporting my transmissions are also choppy and broken. Under network status the router wifi signal is showing as -66 dBm with the quality as "ok." Ever since I have been trying DMR with this setup I get constant weird buzzes, clicks, stuttered audio but it was tolerable, it seems to be a lot worse lately though. Anything to try? Thanks to anyone for any help!

Please use another server. Dropouts are probably caused by network issues. You can see the exact reason of audio dropouts in the device log (Status page, Advanced mode needs to be turned on). You can also take a look at the call log, and dejitter queue graph for invalid seqnum errors.

Thank you HA2NON,
I was using United States 3101 server and have changed it to United States 3103 and still hearing a lot of dropouts and buzzes, clicks etc. Is there a known server somewhere that is reliable?
Not sure if this is a related issue to the 3101 server I was using, but periodically the OS2 will go into a continual transmitting condition but no audio. I checked the log file and pasted a part of that below. I have to force the OS to stop transmitting by sending a quick call to 4000 and then it finally stops.
What do I try next?

Phil,
Yes! That is my experience too. It is like night and day difference, before a few days ago I was pretty happy with the performance of the OS2 on dmr. The dropouts/noise/buzzing whatever was tolerable, I just figured it was the way DMR was. But then like a few days ago, suddenly it is horrible, two days ago or so it was so bad that every received audio was totally unintelligible
. Every signal was garbled completely. So I then started trying to figure out what had changed. As soon as I realized that the the OS2 was automatically updating the software I wondered that the latest update was faulty. And also YES to that issue of the wrong station showing on the screen on the radio, when it is supposed the other station.
Is it possible to roll back to an earlier version of the OS2 software?

Yes, it's possible to go back to previous firmwares. We have not made any significant changes between version v61 and v62, and the DMR handling part has not changed at all.
Your log seems normal operation, with a call being received, and some packets missing from the server.
The quick call to 4000 instructs the server to unlink all talkgroups. If the openSPOT stops the call then it means the server has stopped sending data (the openSPOT sends to the moden what it receives from the server, and does not manage talkgroup linking).

I would like to try reverting back to an earlier version of the software as a test, along with turning off auto updates for now. Please tell me how to do that, and I will post back here with the results. Something has definitely changed for the worse for me on dmr with the os2.
Thanks! Mike

how to version v61 thank you in advance

Okay I tried resetting the OS2 back to default settings, after I got it up and running again and listening to TG's tg 3100, 91, it sounds much better! Not nearly the hiccups and noise. Maybe the reset help. So I am okay for now, thank you very much HA2NON for your assistance!
