I can't open "openspot" Help.

I got my openSpot yesterday. And I can't get my Dell Window 10 desktop OR my Lenovo Windows 10 to open Openspot. I bought a TP-Link router and I'm not sure THAT is setup right -- but I think it is.. I tried several browsers. None of them can open http://openspot.local/
Then I discovered that I have an ethernet port on my desktop..

Questions:

(a) Can I skip the router and just plug into the desktop? I won't be traveling with the gizmo..

(b). Exactly what do I do if the computer won't open http://openspot.local/ ?

You said you tried several browsers. Did you try Chrome?

Have you tried just using http://openspot/ ? You can also use the IP address assigned to the OpenSpot from your router in the URL field to access the OS. I find pretty frequently that I end up having to use all 3 to access the OS depending on where I get my internet access from.

I have tried chrome, safari, and yandex with no success.

If you can explain how to find the IP address assigned by the router,I would be very grateful.

I'm assuming you have the OS plugged into a router. Each router will have a default URL to set it up or to make changes. Most routers can be accessed using URL such as 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.2.1or whatever your router uses to make changes. Once into your router, search the DHCP Client List or some other similar named list. It will have every device that's currently attached to your router. You should see an IP address assigned to your OpenSpot. Take that IP address of the OS and put it into your URL address bar of your browser. You should be able to see the Openspot now. What is the brand name and type of router you have? Thats a more complicated way.

Martin's post above is probably much easier.

have got a spot yesterday (28th dec)
i connected spot to computer (tried to router), but i see that STATUS LED allready slowly blinking red (((
my computer shows that the local connection is limited (i see there are no exchange of packets)
why?
i changed patch-cords, computers and browsers already - the result is the same

If I read this right, you plugged your openspot's ethernet port into your PC's ethernet port - right?

If so, it probably won't work that way unless your PC has a DHCP server installed (which most don't).

If possible, directly connect your PC and openspot to your router via ethernet cables - I'll bet you'll have better luck after that...

i have 2pcs of openspot, both have the same situation (((
also i tried connect openspot to wifi router Huawei E5770, result the same
i dont understand nothing.....

Hi,
Connect your openSpot to a port on your router.
Then connect your PC to a port on your router.
Download Advanced IP Scanner.
http://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/

Run the program and it should find the IP of your connected openSPOT
will be something like 192.168.1.99

Download and install Chrome browser.
Enter the IP address into the browser.
It should then connect to your open spot.
Enter the password openspot
You should now have access and be able to enter your call sign etc.

Nice setup! As I mentioned earlier, slowly blinking status LED means you have not set a connector. Please post a screenshot of your Connector page.

The STATUS LED shows openSPOT’s connector status:
Continuously red: connector not set.
Blinking red: connector is trying to connect.
Continuously green: connector is connected. Connector Page.....what is you mean?
