I found this post on a VK website.
Hi all,
In late February our local VK1RWN DSTAR repeater crashed following an upgrade of the IP infrastructure on Isaacs Ridge.
I understand that nothing has been done in the meantime to bring VK1RWN back on line, or an attempt to make the system “bullet proof” and more reliable.
Prior to late February, we were able to access some 35 DSTAR XRF / DCS reflectors via VK1RWN. In most cases XRF and DCS reflectors will transcode to DMR XLX reflectors around the world. Having VK1RWN manually connected by RF to XRF / DCS reflectors allowed many local DSTAR users to join regular nets.
It would be really great to see the VK1RWN DSTAR repeater operational again.
In the meantime, as Rob has indicated, there are many versions of MMDVM hotspots to whet ones digital appetite.
Cheers,
