Hi
Can anyone help me figure out why our local W1SCC gateway isn't listed (Connectors>D-STAR/REF/XRF (DPlus/DExtra)/Gateways drop-down list) on OpenSpot2. It has, in the past. Any suggestions?
Thanks

If you know the IP address of W1SCC then you can connect to it using your openSPOT.

Ok...thanks for the reply. However, since I can directly connect to this repeater, I don't need to do that. The question, in essence, is why does it no longer show up on the OpenSpot2 drop down list? Taking it a step further, how do we fix this?
Thanks

The gateway list is updated from openquad.net, if your gateway is listed there then it will appear in our database in 24 hours.

Ah! Ok, I will pass this on to our gateway administrator.
Thanks!

I am finding more and more D-STAR Gateway repeaters not being listed in the SHARKRF.link dashboard for the openSPOT2. Today of all the D-DSTAR gateway repeater listed connected to 1C only one repeater could be connected to with the openSPOT2. Of the 47 D-STAR gateway repeaters listed that were connected to 30C only six could be connected to using the openSPOT2. When looking at the SHARKRF.link dashboard it seems the repeaters that could not be connected to were missing in the database. Is anyone else experiencing many missing active D-STAR gateway repeaters from the SHARKRF.link dashboard database?

Our gateway server database is currently updated daily using gateways on openquad.net
If the gateway is connected to openquad.net, then it will appear in the openSPOT server list in 24 hours.
You can also connect to the specified gateway if you know it's IP address. Make sure Advanced mode is turned on at the bottom right of the web interface, and then you'll be able to enter the IP address as the server address.

This seems to be an issue that has occurred in just the last few weeks. I wonder if it is possible that you could find a new source for a complete list of D-STAR gateway repeaters. Operators who have pi-star can connect to D-STAR gateway repeaters that the openSPOT can not connect to now. This has now become a real issue you need to resolve if you want to stay in business. Once word gets out that you have this flaw in your product and you continue to leave this issue unresolved the amateur radio community will look elsewhere for its hotspot business. Your products are not cheap and we hams expect better customer service than this after the sale.

Has a list of the files that the PiStar guys provide to download to their 'customers'. It might help if the servers you want are not listed.
However, why is it that these hosts disappear from the sources that companies and individuals use? It's either because their operators are awkward people who want to play hard to get or it's because their systems can't cope with the load placed on them. If you know otherwise then please tell!

A couple of things...
If SharkRF is harvesting gateway IP address from our rr.openquad.net IRC channel, as HA2NON suggests, they are doing so without our permission. The information shared on our IRC network is for openquad.net clients only and is suppose to be used for D-Star routing purposes only, NOT FOR LINKING.
We've recently been getting a lot of questions about "why can't I find on my openSPOT". So far, every that hams have complained to us about are legacy dstargateway.org reflectors that are not clients on our network in the first place.

I sometimes wonder why so many things in amateur radio are more difficult than they need to be.

This issue seems to be resolved now. Thank you and 73.
