I have an OpenSpot and an OpenSpot2. I use CenturyLink DSL as my ISP. They are the only choice available to me where I live. The OpenSpot2 connects to my route via wifi. The OpenSpot, of course, connects via ethernet cable. I had no trouble with either connecting until I upgraded my modem/router from CenturyLink. Now neither will connect. I finally discovered that if I go into the GUI for the modem, and click on 'RENEW' internet connection, the OpenSpot will connect to the network, and work just fine. It seems to time out after a while, and loses its connections. The only way I can reconnect is to 'Renew' the internet connection again. I realize this is not an OpenSpot problem, but probably a setting in my router that needs to be changed. I am not a networking person, and don't know what to look for to change. CenturyLink is no help. Any suggestions from the group? My modem/router is a C4000LG if that helps. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Try disabling the firewall and/or MAC control in the router's configuration. You can also post a screenshot of the page where you see this Renew button, maybe there's another setting there which would help.
