Can't Connect to C4FM/Wires-x
KD9LIL
I live in a rural area not near any repeaters or reflectors. I bought a Yaesu FT-70DR HT and the OpenSpot2 thinking I could access distant repeaters and reflectors. The radio and OpenSpot2 are configured for C4FM has the basic setup according to the respective manuals. When I engage the Wires-x function on the radio, it times out after 30 seconds without connecting to the node. Any thoughts? Duane

Wires-X is a proprietary Yaesu protocol that is only useful if you have an RF bridge to get from an open server into Yaesu's network.
The OS2 will connect to other servers of this type, you need to find out about YSF and FCS servers and how they work and what they do for you. There should be some information in the OS2 manual to help, I'd suggest reading that first.

This issue was resolved by changing the repeater ID and finding the correct C4FM room. This issue can be closed. -Duane
