Can you use multiple DMR radio from different DMR IDs on one OpenSpot?

Yes. If you want, you can also lock an openSPOT to 3 separate DMR IDs/D-STAR/C4FM callsigns, but this is optional.

But the OpenSpot UI asks for a unique DMR ID? Can you please elaborate on this?

If you are using BrandMeister, you can set SSIDs for each openSPOT. Please see the SSIDs section in the user manual.

But of course this only matters if you want to use more than 1 openSPOT on BM.

The setup is I have one OpenSpot and I have friends with DMR radios. Can we all use the OpenSpot simultaneously having different DMR IDs?

Yes. This way SSID does not matter.

And can these separate radios access different repeaters through the same Hotspot simultaneously or must all be on the same tg/repeater net? Ex:if I want to talk local and my friend wants to go ww can we share one hs without interference? (Probably not)

Any repeater can only handle one TG/conversation at a time. Trying to coordinate between different TGs on the same OpenSpot would be unworkable. You can have multiple TGs "active" on an OpenSpot, but only one TG can be actively transmitting/receiving at a time.
The same is true for DMR repeaters, though they have two Time Slots, so you can have one conversation going per time slot simultaneously. The OpenSpot effectively only has one Time Slot.

Do I understand the Id CCS7 in the SharkRF would show up on each of the "example" 3 users on same talkgroup.

No. openSPOT forwards all calls with their separate source IDs.

Thanks for the replies guys. Figured all that out once I got the device online. Now if only they'd come out with an openspot with built-in wifi for simple compact mobile use. (3 pc setup: cellphone, sharkrf+, and handi)

Hi .I sometimes use the openspot with my yaesu ft1xd with excellent results at crossmode (fusion to dmr).I also have a friend with a yaesu ftm-100 (fusion-c4fm) to my neighborhood and i want to give him access to dmr network. He setup his radio with his callsighn and when he press the ptt my callsighn shows at dmr network not his.I read the manual for how can i set my openspot at the -Lock settings- and use it both but not at the same time and pass Separately our callsighns. My question is how can i setup the lock settings if understand correct ? just remember my friend have no dmrid
and that's why always show my callsighn .73 SV1RXI

Dear Nikos,
This way it's impossible. Your friend needs a DMR ID request if he wants to use your OpenSpot on DMR network. The alphanumeric callsign won't going through your OpenSpot only the DMR ID. When your friend get his DMR ID on OpenSpot settings page please set "default DMR ID for C4FM calls" to 0.
73's de Lajos.

Without registering anywhere in the settings of openspot his callsighn or the dmr id of my friend?
HA5OGR
All radios on HAM DMR networks require a unique Subscriber DMR ID, so your friend will need to have one assigned before he can program his radio to operate on DMR networks. Set the callsign to a DMR ID in C4FM radio menu, not for alphanumerical for using cross mode operation. Also need to delete callsign lock "default DMR ID for C4FM calls" in OpenSpot setup menu for capable a multiple user operation.

Hi Lajos. When i set the Default DMR ID for C4FM calls to 0 i don't pass to dmr network .

Something you doing wrong Nikos. I've just checked two different DMR IDs right now. My radio FTM 400 set to DMR ID 2167021 (HA5OGR) and my FT2DE radio to my father DMR ID 2163012 (HA3LP). Openspot is connected to the Greek 2021 server. Both of DMR IDs passes through the BM system, I have checked on our local repeater.
