I have five profiles setup for different radios and connections. If I am on profile one and go into quick connect and want to use a particular radio go to a particular place I connect no problem. But now my number one profile is now set for that.
Where do I go to just connect a radio and reflector without messing up my profiles.
Thanks

You can see the instructions on how to change servers on each connectors user manual page, for ex.
https://manuals.sharkrf.com/openspot3/en/ref-xrf-connector.html#page-top
(Switching reflectors/gateways using your radio section)

I can use my Icom id-51 to change reflectors no problem but when I do it now changes the profile that I was sitting on to that new reflector change. Is there not a way to go around the profile so it stays as it was.
HA2NON
I don't understand. Switching servers using the methods described in the user manual on each connector page does not switch the currently active configuration profile to another one.
You can switch configuration profiles also using your transceiver.

Okay I don't want to keep dragging this out but here is what I do. If I use my ID 51 menus to change reflectors it changes the profile that I was using at the time. If I go into the dashboard and use Quick setup as the manual suggest and change reflectors it changes the profile that I was using at the time. If I go into connectors from the dashboard put in a different reflector and module connect it changes the profile from the one that I was using at the time.
I guess this is a little beyond me understanding how to do it without it messing up a profile. Thanks

I just checked my Openspot profile settings. I also use an Icom ID-51 radio. Everything works fine for me. I can change D-Star reflectors via my radio menu and my saved profile not change. Please check your saved profiles one by one.

I think KD7AAT means that he does not want to alter the currently active profile's configuration. In this case, use your transceiver to switch between configuration profiles and then your settings won't be changed.

We may be getting close but it still doesn't work for me. My profile one is my ID 51 on ref 29 Alpha. If I use my ID 51 in the menus to change to 55 Delta when I come back to my number one profile it is now 55 delta. That happens using my radio, quick set up or connectors. And using quick setup is how I set up my original five profiles to start with. I have the DTMF tones set up on my radio to change profiles if needed. That is not an issue
HA2NON
Only change the configuration profile, do not switch servers on the active profile and then the profile will not be modified.

I have five different separate profiles. How do I go to 55 Charlie which is not in one of my profiles. Every way I have tried it it changes the active profile to 55 Charlie. Thanks

After you have successfully connected to REF055 C change To "Use reflector".

"Every way I have tried it it changes the active profile to 55 Charlie."
I think you misunderstand configuration profiles and servers. The openSPOT3 supports 5 configuration profiles.
By 55 Charlie you probably mean the REF055 server's C module.

I have two profiles set for ref 029a dstar reflector to use either my id-51 or my Yaesu ft2d. I have three profiles for two different DMR reflectors using different radios.. Yes I am referring to REF 055D. If I am on my configuration profile number two or one or any of them no matter which way I go to change to 55 Delta it changes that configuration profile to 55 Delta.
The first thing I see is that the profiles are not locked in. Anything you do changes that one to your new connection.

Here is an example. I am using my number one profile sitting on reflector 29 Alpha (default) I want to go to 55 Delta. I use my id-51 radio in the menus to switch to 55 Delta ( I don't have a profile set up for it). I am connected to 55d no problem. My number one profile is now 55 Delta instead of 29 Alpha. If I turn off the hotspot and turn it back on profile number one comes up but it is now 55 delta not 29a as I had set it up originally. This will happen using my radio or the quick setup or the configuration page on the dashboard. Whatever you do changes your profile instead of just changing the reflector.
HA2NON
Yes. If you want to keep REF029A for profile 1, then set up a different configuration profile with REF055D activated, and switch between these 2 profiles instead switching servers using your transceiver.

If the openspot3 had 10 profiles that would be great and easy to do but I have others that I use regularly and they are filling up the slots. So the synopsis is you can't change anything without changing a profile is what I have to assume. Possibly in a future firmware the profiles can be locked or at least add more of them so you have one to play with. Thanks I guess we're pretty much done with this one I appreciate your time and effort.
KD7AAT
Possibly a profile called "where do you want to go" that does not affect the other ones. Thanks again

And I just read that the OS4 Pro has 10 configuration profiles. Would have been nice on the os3 but I have two of them I don't need to buy a 4.

This is normal. My previous openSPOTs have all worked this way.
KD7AAT
Unfortunately that is the way the open spot is set up. HA2NON and I went over and over and back and forth on this and the solution is none. Now with the open spot 4 you have 10 profiles to play with where one of them could just be for changing reflectors back and forth. Unless they have changed the way the open spot works so your profiles don't get changed every time you want to change a reflector.
