Hi! I'm trying to configure DMRPlus to use via DSTar. I didn't find which command I should send in URCALL to activate DMRPlus. I found for all other modes as below:

REF/XRX/Gateway: set the URCALL to for example REF001 C. Switching to REF/XRF servers or gateways this way changes the openSPOT4's active connector to the REF/XRF connector.
DCS/XLX: set the URCALL to for example DCS001 A. Switching to DCS/XLX servers this way changes the openSPOT4's active connector to the DCS/XLX connector.
BrandMeister: set the URCALL to BM followed by the BrandMeister server ID. Example: starting a call to destination callsign (URCALL) BM2162 switches to BrandMeister server 2162 (Hungary). Switching to BrandMeister servers this way changes the openSPOT4's active connector to the Homebrew/MMDVM connector.
FCS: set the URCALL to the FCS server and room number. Example: starting a call to destination callsign (URCALL) FCS00199 switches to FCS001 room 99. Switching to FCS servers this way changes the openSPOT4's active connector to the FCS connector.
YSFReflector: set the URCALL to YS followed by the YSFReflector server ID. Example: starting a call to destination callsign (URCALL) YS89804 switches to YSFReflector 89804 (AmericaLink). Switching to YSFReflector servers this way changes the openSPOT4's active connector to the YSFReflector connector.
NXDNReflector: set the URCALL to NX followed by the NXDNReflector server ID. Example: starting a call to destination callsign (URCALL) NX28299 switches to NXDNReflector 28299 (America-Ragchew). Switching to NXDNReflector servers this way changes the openSPOT4's active connector to the NXDNReflector connector.

If I make the change through the web I can use the TG and speak normally, but if I have another mode active I can't activate DMRPlus. BrandMeister works really well. Does anyone know what command to activate DMRPlus?

DMRplus is a deprecated connector. It's advisable to use the Homebrew/MMDVM connector in MMDVM protocol mode to connect to DMRplus servers (which are now called IPSC servers).

Yes, I am using this protocol, as reported in the previous text. But the manual does not state how to make the connection to DMRPuls. For BrandMeister use BMnnnn where "nnnn" is the server ID. Folow the configuration screen :

You need to use configiration profile switching from your transceiver for IPSC servers.

The problem is what command do I give the radio to change the connector to IPSC? This is the help I'm needing.

You create a new profile with the correct server in the Connector tab, once you set up MMDVM/Homebrew then you should find the IPSC servers in the list that you can select using the web interface.

At that point you then save the profile once it's working and use the commands for switching profiles from a DMR radio as shown in the openSPOT manual.

Understood, I need to create a specific profile to operate with DMRPlus, there is no command to switch to this mode. As a suggestion they could create a command as there is for YSF/DSTar/BM/etc where we could switch to DMRPlus in the same profile. Tks 73!

I don't think you are understanding.

The profile stores the protocol, modem and connector settings you select. On the Connector tab, 'DMRplus dongle' is deprecated as it supports old hardware that is no longer used. Select Homebrew/MMDVM in the edit connector entry and enable advanced mode.

In the DMR/Homebrew/MMDVM section select MMDVM and scroll down through the various server groups until you get to DMRplus at which point you will find the list of IPSC servers.

Once you have done this you then save to a separate profile which you can then enable using the normal commands from a DMR radio for profile switching. They are listed in the manual here:

You can then change talkgroups from the radio as all IPSC servers should provide them which means you don't need to change servers in most cases.

I understand what you explained perfectly, but it's not how I would like to operate OpenSpot. I created only one profile to use with the DSStar input mode. In this profile I configured the DStar/YSF/DMRPlus operating modes. To speak in DStar I edit URCALL with the DStar reflector (REF001CL) I press the PTT quickly and I go back to URCALL CQCQCQ and speak in the reflector. To speak in YSF, I edit URCALL with reflector I want to speak (YS89804) I press PTT quickly and go back to URCALL CQCQCQ and speak in YSF. There are commands to operate with all modes, but I didn't find in the manual how to operate in DMRPlus. It exists to operate DMR at BrandMeister. This is my doubt. I don't know if it's clear now. I'm referring to this part of the manual:

One more information, if I change the connector for DMRPlus on the web I can talk by changing the TG on the radio, so the connector is correctly configured in the profile.

I'll leave this now and see if SharkRF comment, I own openSPOT 1, 2 and 3 and this is not how I use DMRplus servers.

If you are using a DSTAR radio then you can change openSPOT profiles from it in a very similar way, it's on the page from the link I posted previously.

As I wrote previously, you need to use configuration profile switching from your transceiver to change IPSC servers. Set up config profiles for each server you want to use and switch between them using your transceiver.

OK! I've extended how you use OpenSpot, changing the profile to changing the mode. I use the profile to change the input mode (Radio I'm operating). As I understand it in the OpenSpot 4 manual, there is no command to switch the connector to DMRPlus mode, there is for BrandMeister's DMR. An improvement for the next updates is suggested. I honestly don't know if what you are suggesting can be done, if it could I think SharkRF would have created the code to implement it. DMRplus is not like Brandmeister in some ways, it doesn't have the BM backend for self-care.

It would create a code to change the connector to MMDVM in the active profile. I don't think it's a complex implementation. But as I don't know how the OpenSpot programming logic was made, here's the suggestion. 73!
