Battery life?

I see some sources claim 20-30hrs battery life but day one I only got 3hrs, so thinking it was a battery memory issue from shipping, I cycled it twice. Second day I only got 4hrs, and third day I only got 3hrs again. Today is the 4th day and it's almost dead at 4hrs. What can I do? I searched and tried some of the battery life extension tips, but nothing changed. I only use DMR with one silent TG on my home wifi in good range (same room as router). I also noticed charging takes about 10hrs from dead to full, consistently. I thought I saw something about quick charge. Thank you.

Edit for more info, my charger shows the device to pull 5v/0.5a/2w whether the OS is off or on. When charging while on, the device battery percentage jumps around, I plugged it in at 15% and within a second it jumped to 30%, a few minutes later it went back down to 20%, then back up to 40% about 30 seconds later. The device current limit shows 1500mA

Please make sure to charge the battery full. If the battery is fully charged then the charge LED turns off and the charging status displays "ready".

You'll need a charger with at least 1500mA of supply current capacity in order to fast charge the unit while it's in use. You can check the currently detected charger current limit by looking at the "USB current limit" field at the openSPOT4 info section on the Status page.

The length of the discharge time is affected by a lot of things. The battery will discharge faster if:

The device is transmitting or receiving
There's traffic on the connected Wi-Fi network (even if the traffic is not to/from the openSPOT4)
Wi-Fi signal quality
Cross mode is used
Web interface is opened

Note that the battery charge percentage level is a rough estimate and it is normal that the percentage is different when charging or discharging.

Yes, I've seen the copy-pasted response but in my post is the numbers to show why my issue is not fixed by that. Each charge cycle goes to full, when the LED turns off and the panel shows ready.

To add another symptom of battery failure out of the box, the battery drains while the device is off. It went from 100% charge to 50% charge in one day while powered off.

I am getting 10-15 minutes on a full charge??? And when I plug in the USB charger - it shows 98%???

KK0TX Please send us a device log excerpt to info@sharkrf.com which shows the battery draining. You can see the device log on the Status page. Make sure Advanced mode is enabled at the bottom right of the web interface to see device log.

My experience with the OS4 with continued switched on in my WLAN is the battery holds about 12 hours. It‘s not the 30 hours but last for a whole day. Against the OS3 with about 4.5 hours.

The openspot is gone, now if someone could at least help me by deleting my account since it's not an option for me anywhere, I'd rather not be reminded of this expensive mistake. That'd be the one thing y'all could help with.
