Iphone12 Hotspot challenges

I would appreciate some help configuring my OS4 to work with my iphone12 open spot. I have Consumer Cellular but in my area am only able to use LTE mode. I have configured the OS network to use my hotspot as a secondary network. I found my iphone just fine and added the correct name.

When I push the OS WIFI button for about 3 seconds I hear the beep and am able to see the OSAP in the WIFI list. I select this and it brings up the OS but I cannot see my hotspot (HS) in the list. I rescan the WIFI network but still cannot see the HS. I see all the near-by networks but not my phone.
My iphone has Allow Others to join and Maximize Compatibility selected. I've read the user manual and viewed several YouTube videos with no luck.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

kk4ohf By the way, in the log in screen it shows the IP address of 192.168.99.1 and below that it shows openSPOT4 AP. Below this I can scan the network but I never see my hotspot listed in the Wi-Fi setup. I say this because my home network is on a 10.x.x.x IP address range which does work. I have no clue why it is getting a router/phone IP address but cannot see the hotspot name in that list. If I try to proceed by using Skip >>. I get nowhere...

The IP address of 192.168.99.1 is only active when the OS4 is in AP mode, indicated by white status LED.

HA2NON HA2NON, I also had to change my hotspots name and as you stated, not go into the AP mode. It now works.
