Own four Openspots, two OS1 and two OS2.
The Openspot 1 I use as home based units, one set up for DMR the other for DStar. After a long period of disuse, those units have been successfully put back online as home based units using the house wifi network.
Openspot 2 are used as my mobile units and also have been offline for a long period of time. iPhone 12 hotspot is the internet gateway. 1 one unit, no problem with getting it tethered into the iPhone hotpsot. I can even get my desktop computer to connect to the house wifi. The iPhone Sharf RF app works and connects. When tethered to the iPhone connection via web browser on the iPhone is successful. This unit functions as designed.
Second Openspot 2 is giving trouble. I can use the desktop computer wifi to tether this OS2 to the iPhone hotspot. This OS 2 unit connects to the iPhone, iPhone hotspot password is entered, the green hotspot connection confirmation on the phone upper left corner flashes on for a few seconds then drops off. That green hotspot confirmation toggles between dropping off and tethering every few seconds. I cannot log via the Shark RF app and attempts at direct log in via the phone browser is not successful.
This OS 2 displays a blue flashing LED.
If I try and use my home wifi as the internet gateway in place of my iPhone, the desktop wifi sees the OS 2, I connect and it goes into the setup procedure where the country and wifi network are selected and wifi password are added, afterward the message confirming that the OS 2 is connected to the new network appears. Attempts at logging into this OS2 log in the desktop web browser after completing the setup are unsuccessful.
This OS 2 has been reset via full factory reset, still cannot get into this unit.
What am I over looking?
