Dear All...
My OpenSpot works with TYT HT perfectly but can't work with Hytera(PD68X) even the basic functions like "DMR autocal","DMR echo test". The PD68X received SMS correctly but OpenSpot can't get any signal or SMS from PD68X. Please help me to find what happen on me? Thanks!
HA2NON
If DMR AutoCal does not work then please switch DMR demod modes on the Modem page manually from A to F and use the local echo test on DMR ID 9999 to find out which mode works with your radio and gives you the lowest BER.

Dear HA2NON...
The Spot can't receive any signal from my Hytera HT(Modem LED is dark)... That's different totally when I using TYT HT. Your advises have been tested but no lucky. Could you help me to check this ? Thanks!
P.S: TYT and Hytera HY can talk with other easily...
HA2NON
Interesting. Please try setting openSPOT, Tyt and the Hytera to the same frequency, or try other frequencies.

Hello...
1. Set all devices(TYT HT/Hytera HT/OpenSpot) to the same frq(436.0) --> AutoCal:TYT OK/Hytera fault
Echo test:TYT OK/Hytera fault
2. Set all devices(TYT HT/Hytera HT/OpenSpot) to a new frq(450.0) --> AutoCal:TYT OK/Hytera fault
Echo test:TYT OK/Hytera fault
OpenSpot's connector set to "null" and "AutoCal", modem set to "DMR Hotspot". FW 0072/0101 both are tested. I tested a fresh codeplug and upgraded the FW of Hytera HT from 7.X to 8.X but OpenSpot still maintain silence... >_<

Does the modem LED blinking green when you transmit with Hytera? Does the call show up on the status page's call log?
You can also check the USB serial debug console to find out what's going on (available in the latest beta fw). You can turn on logging with the "log" command.

Dear HA2NON...
1. Does the modem LED blinking green when you transmit with Hytera?
No...It will only blinking green when I use TYT.
2. Does the call show up on the status page's call log?
No...It will only show up when I use TYT.
3. You can also check the USB serial debug console to find out what's going on (available in the latest beta fw). You can turn on logging with the "log" command.
I have upgraded FW to 0105 and monitor log by USB-Console...There's no any log show up when Hytera HT transmit the DMR signal.(Of cause there are a lot of logs when TYT HT transmit the signal )

Interesting, as we test each unit before shipping with several radios including Hytera PD785G and Tyt MD380.
Please try to change the DMR demod mode manually on the modem page. Try each mode with the Hytera.

Dear HA2NON...
Finally... I tested PD78X and it worked normally! The echo test and Autocal both are normal when I use PD78X. Could you help me to check this? I have tried two different PD68X HTs and two different OpenSpot, so I don't think that's my HT's problem. Thanks! I tried every demod mode manually with PD68X yesterday but no lucky...

Dear HA2NON...
I forget to say... The Openspot can send and receive messages with my PD68X but voice can't be used...
HA2NON
Do you use any privacy options? Voice encryption or anything like that?

Dear HA2NON&All OpenSpot users...
I need your help here! We have tested all DMR devices that we can get here and find a very strange problem. There are some Hytera devices can't work with OpenSPot. We have tyied Hytera PD780/788/600/680/688/368, TYT MD380/390/398 and only "some" PD680 has the problem.
1. OpenSpot can't receive "some" PD680's DMR signal, the LED on OpenSpot doesn't have activity. Of cause the DMR AutoCal and echo function of OpenSpot can't work with these PD680
2. Those PD680 can receive the SMS from OpenSpot but OpenSpot won't get any SMS from those PD680.
3. We have tested FW 7.X/8.X and use the default codeplugs from CPS software ---> Doesn't work
4. We use the codeplug of normal PD680 to swap those PD680's codeplug ---> Doesn't work
5. Those PD680 are brand new from Hytera(manufacture date is between 2015~2016).
6. There's no logical can find in serial numbers of those PD680. We have tried five PD680 and only one can work.
7. The dealer of mine can't do anything because OpenSpot is not their official device.
I can't find any resource to help us in this case... Please help me to solve this big problem... Thanks!

Eddy contacted us in email and we are investigating the issue with his PD680s.

Early on with TYT many despite the company saying no problem existed they could not be used because they deviated off frequency just enough to not connect , could this be a problem with Hytera ?

Is the radio in DMO True 2-Slot / DMRA Direct Mode? In DMRA Directmode the Hytera can provide 2-slot simplex communication, which allows for 2 talk paths on 1 frequency. This can be a problem for equipment that doesn't use two-slot simplex communication. Make sure "TDMA Direct Mode" is not checked on the channel you're using for the Openspot.

Is the OpenSpot4 Pro subject to this issue? I have an OpenSpot 2 and can't use it with my Hytera MD782i. I can hear audio messages from the OpenSpot on the radio from TG9, but get nothing back when transmitting with the radio on TG9999 or Parrot, and the Openspot LED just slowly flashes green. The OpenSpot webpage status shows transmissions from others, but not from me.

Please run DMR AutoCal, or manually adjust the RX offset on the Modem page in +-100Hz steps from -500Hz to +500Hz for the lowest BER. You can verify settings using the openSPOT2's built-in local echo service on DMR ID 9999.
