JeffersonDrew i have a new open spot 4 pro not yet 3 months old. The red light comes on when charging but no other light comes on. I tried different chargers. I did the reset by holding the wi fi and the power on for 30 seconds or more still the unit unit does not come on. it does not charge .Can you determine whats wrong or send me a return authorization?
HA2NON Please follow the steps in the user manual at the "The device does not turn on" section: https://manuals.sharkrf.com/openspot4/en/troubleshooting.html#the-device-does-not-turn-on
raymundobarrozo I am having the exact same issue, I purchased the pro4 last November 2023. The unit will not turn on. I exhausted all the tips on the forum already. I even downloaded the recovery tool but my device is dead and wont be recognized. Please issue me an RMA too
HA2NON Please follow the steps in the user manual at the "The device does not turn on" section: https://manuals.sharkrf.com/openspot4/en/troubleshooting.html#the-device-does-not-turn-on If the recovery software does not see the device then please try using a different USB cable and USB port on your computer. If this does not even help then press and hold both buttons on the device at the same time for 10 seconds to enter it into bootloader mode. Note that only the recovery software will be able to exit this bootloader mode so do not use this method otherwise. Can you please tell us how you turned off the unit before it could not turn on?
Sunnasy I am having the same issue, followed the instructions as per the manual troubleshhoting. On power to the Openspot 4 Pro using an external power (blinks once amber and then goes off) 2, On power to the Openspot 4 Pro using cable to laptop (blinks once amber then goes off) Download the recovery software, tried on a Windows and Mac, no communication (tried the Bootloader mode as well) 4.Before bootloader mode the amber light used to stay on when charging but could power up. Can you please help
HA2NON Please press and hold the power button for at least 8 seconds. If the unit still does not turn on, then connect it to your computer with a USB cable, and then press both buttons for at least 8 seconds, and then try running the recovery software.
