Hello! I have an open spot 4 pro and I can’t get it to work with can trbo and the NH SW talk group. It will RX, but not TX. Even when using the app, nothing.

Make sure your transceiver has the talkgroup you want to hear in an RX groups list, and make sure this RX group list is assigned to the channel which is currently active on your transceiver. DMR transceivers only open the squelch if the currently received TG is in the active channel's RX group list (or the active channel's TX contact matches the incoming TG).

HA2NON ok. How would I make this happen when cross mode using a C4FM radio. I’m having the same problem. Even when I use the app, I can’t tx or rx from the app on TG3133

There is no RX group list on a C4FM radio, it will always receive all transmissions coming from the openSPOT. Make sure the RX DGID setting is set to 00 or ANY on your C4FM transceiver. Change the "Route cross mode calls to ID" setting to 3133 with call type group on the Connectors page, Homebrew/MMDVM connector settings to make the openSPOT forward calls coming from your C4FM radio to TG3133 on the network.

The SharkRF Link app will open the squelch for any calls coming from the network. You can set the destination ID on the Settings tab.

HA2NON so if I want to TX from the app on my phone, what settings do I need because in any mode, it won’t TX out onto the network from the phone app.

Also just tried what you said on my FT-70D on C4FM with static TG of 3133 also and it didn’t work.

In the app you just need to set the destination ID with a group call type on the Settings tab, and if you are connected to the appropriate DMR server then you can transmit.

Please explain what do you mean by it didn't work. Did you see your transmission coming from your transceiver in the openSPOT4's call log on the Status page? Did you see your call on the server/network's dashboard? Have you tried the local echo service to test the connection between your transceiver and the openSPOT4?

I have tried everything above with my new OpenSpot 4 Pro. My DB25-D will not receive nor will it reach my access point. Log does not show any incoming connection. Nor does any indicators light up. I was thinking it was my radio or antenna but now that I see this thread I am evaluating.

Please run DMR AutoCal, or manually adjust the RX offset on the Modem page in +-100Hz steps from -500Hz to +500Hz for the lowest BER. You can verify settings using the openSPOT's built-in local echo service on DMR ID 9999.

If AutoCal does not work for you then the RX offset between the transceiver and the openSPOT is greater than 500Hz. What you can do is to switch frequencies on the openSPOT, but keep the transceiver's frequency. For example, if the transceiver is on 433.900MHz, then test by setting the openSPOT to the following frequencies:

433900500 Hz
433900600 Hz
433900700 Hz
...
433899500 Hz
433899400 Hz
433899300 Hz
...

You can use the built-in local echo service to test your own voice on DMR ID 9999.

Sorry for not outlining my steps so far.

My DB25-D has yet to receive any notifications from the OpenSpot or traffic from any TG. I can hit BM from local Repeaters.

I have ran AutoCal repeatedly. I have yet to get past the first phase. After about 30 minutes I started to get the warning that the broadcast is using the wrong CC. I am set to default 1.

Reading the log it is showing that it was expecting CC of 1 and received 15, 14, 13, 12. I have never set my code plug to any of those CCs.

The modem does not even indicate that it is receiving any traffic per the led indicators.

Until I can get my radio to trigger the OpenSpot 4 I cannot successfully reach the Parrot feature.

I tried the different modulations, and also set the OpenSpot frequency off by 500mhz an reran the AutoCal.

The good news is that she works great and I can monitor Brandmeister talk groups from the webbrowser. Very easy to connect. So excited to get past this issue.

Well I have great news.
After working through all of your suggestions and reading the troubleshooting one last time. I reset to default and tried from scratch.

I am good to go now. Works great and very please. Thank you for your support.
