WSpivak I'm using the FTM-400XDR. You connect to the openSPOT using FM mode, the hotspot handles all of the digital stuff. Once you connect to a YSF Reflector then you can press WiresX for more info (like to get the second room page with the Add button to save to a category). If cross moding into DMR, you should be in the defult TG in your setup. To change DMR TGs, use mic and hold PTT and press * then TG number then release PTT to make a group call to new TG. Press buttons quickly or OS4 will see multiple DTMF from same button.

Btw, off topic, my shark iPhone app works when I’m out of range of my open spot and I start my VPN (which is on my server on the same net as open spot). 😄
Dont know how you got that to work, my 400 will only connect to my OS4 in DN mode not a hope in hell in FM mode, OS4 is a digital transmitter,recieiver, so got to be DN both ways
micksmith Yeah sorry, looking at wrong notes. Too many new changes lately getting set up. DN required to connect to OS4.
My 500 will only connect to DMR in DN mode. I acutally was able to make a contact and both RX and TX audio was good (he said I was a trifle loud)...
On to the next protocol...

BTW, I tried PTT+*+73099 (Release PTT) with zero effect.
People who cross mode do have to turn the audio down, its just how it is, not many know that or cant be bothered to do it, its really is annoying
Define please "turn the audio down". Is that a) mic gain, b) volume know on radio, or c) something else??
yeah mic gain, some people come through stupid loud and distorting doing that cross mode thing but no one tells them
Just had a successful QSO on P25 (10200). {Perfect audio)....
So I have: DMR working (except automating from radio changing rooms) YSF works (including changing rooms from radio) P25 works (still need to figure automating from radio changing room) DStar works still need to figure automating from radio changing room)
WSpivak Only way to automate changing DMR TGs is to set up Auto DTMF and write down which one goes to which TG. I have 1-3 set for changing OS profiles then 4 starts the TG list.
Talking to a buddy of mine, it would seem you can manipulate groups/rooms only for your native system of your Radio.
For me, since I have a Yaesu, its YSF. He is a ICOM man, so for him its DSTAR.

WSpivak Yeah the mic buttons are totally flaky with OS4 and DTMF never gets processed correctly so best to just use the web page. If you are mobile then it's a challenge to change TGs unless you have a couple programmed as auto dtmf.
SkyKing No problem... I got everything to work, now I just need to find those groups that are active... another exercise, but one I can figure on my own...
