Tyrbiter Oh, of course and I'm not trying to say that what they're doing is bad per se. However, it could be argued that implementing the M17 mode is trivial. There's plenty of other implementations out there that could be used as an example of how the code could be written. You don't even have to worry about voice codecs at all unless you intend on transcoding between modes on the device, which could be added as an additional feature later on. Reading the M17 specification and taking a look at the MMDVM code, implementing M17 into openSpot should be super simple.
I'm sure there's plenty of people that could or want to help, but openSpot is a closed system, so everyone who's clamoring for the addition of M17 into the device is at the mercy of the developers to work on it.
