I have an open spot 2 and received my openspot 4 pro this morning. I cannot seem to get either if them to connect to a d star reflector. i keep getting reflector overloaded messages.

i have got the 4 to do cross mode dstar to ysf which is excellent. could it be a port or network setting - i have a firewall gold firewall

so i have been able to listen to a reflector through a local dstar repeater on another radio. i can access and hear 30/c
no calls on reflector 30c are being routed to my open spot, neither are any calls i make. any ideas? i am sure i am an idiot.

If you see the server is overloaded message, then the server reported that it is overloaded, and it does not let your openSPOT to connect, or it lets it connect but only in read only mode (you won't be able to transmit). Use a different server or wait until the server is not overloaded.

I have tried other reflectors and have no success. when I do manage connect i cannot hear any traffic and no calls are routed to the open spot and onto the radio.

Do you mean that you see calls in the call log on the Status page of the openSPOT but you can't hear them on your transceiver?

For the most part cannot see them in the log, though i see today o or 2 have made it through, but generally inconsistent. could it be my firewall? I have a Firewalla Gold firewall.

If your openSPOT can connect to a server then it is not a firewall issue. If you don't see a call in the call log then it means the server did not send the call to the openSPOT.
