Stuck on version v63 ★ I go for the upgrade to beta 64. Once the reboot it completed still at firmware v63 ★. 73 DE AG5AA
AG5AA I have the same problem (among others with OS4). I really regret to have bought it ... all the messages below in this forum don't help me. Automatic upgrade over night doesn't help and manual upgrade neither. What can I do?
It's possible that they forgot to change the version in the image file.
Yep, Same here. (had a continuous red charging led on once)
You have to wait 1 minute after v64 boots until it is finalized. If you reboot before the 1 minute mark then the previous firmware will be restored.
Got you on that. Although the O/S boots automaticlly. Cannot control the one minute mark.
Sorry didn't help me, feels like the reboot doesn't catch, happens far to fast. No rush, open spot is otherwise working very well. (it is a beta ;-)
Performed system reset, rewrite modem settings, updated to V64, Update and reboot went just fine. Hope it helps everyone else. 73 form Texas AG5AA
All this Open spot does now is connects and disconnect constantly. Not happy.
NeilReinhardt Now the Openspot will not turn on or charge. Anyone have this same problem. Can’t use it now.
Today as a normal routine I did r :ebooted my O/S-4 Pro on version 64. Now it wont power up. Will try recovery software.
I guess I went back to square one. The recovery got back my O/S but with firmware V.61. Hit upgrade for V64. and still stuck on V61. I'll wait for HA2NON to figure out. 73
Enable beta firmware upgrades on the Settings page, at Firmware upgrade settings and then v64 will show up.
That's correct; I already done that. But still not booting the new version. As a matter of a fact it is exactly as yesterday. Thanks a million.
Please follow the steps in the user manual at the "The device does not turn on" section: https://manuals.sharkrf.com/openspot4/en/troubleshooting.html#the-device-does-not-turn-on
If the recovery software does not see the device then please try using a different USB cable and USB port on your computer. If this does not even help then press and hold both buttons on the device at the same time for 10 seconds to enter it into bootloader mode before using the recovery software. Note that only the recovery software will be able to exit this bootloader mode so do not use this method otherwise.
HA2NON Hi, HA2NON,
I have just did the recovery and it's up and running again. Last time I will be doing this. Update you put out need to be checked well before we get it. As you can see by this forum people are having trouble after updating. Thanks for reply.
Neil
Note that this v64 is currently a beta firmware. Turn off upgrade to beta versions if you don't want to participate in testing new firmwares.
Wow. Holdown your horses boy. If I am providing you feed back on your firmware and telling you that you have glitches on it. So as we said in Texas. Put you stuff togheter and find why your V64. Does not reboot after you turn off the O/S for the day. Have a nice day.
Development is rarely smooth.
hb9fgu I have mine working for the time being. I had to re flash it and so far so good. Don’t have the confidence with it yet.
NeilReinhardt I did a reflash with the re flash tool and now nothing works any more. I switch it on and only see the white LED flashing. It's not connecting to WLAN, it is not sending and not receiving - just dead ... somehow.
