Crossmode D-Star to DMR Brandmeister

I have a D-Star ID-51a HT and have Openspot4 Pro working for D-Star reflectors, but having a problem getting it to crossmode to DMR. I've watched dozens of YouTube videos on setting up the Openspot and can't find anything I am missing. I can connect to the servers and hear traffic in the TGs, but when I transmit my signal makes it to the Openspot but not to the TG. I am hoping someone can help/
My radio is set to:
To: Use Reflector
From Openspot

My Active connector setting is: Homebrew/MMDVM

My Connectors tab settings for DMR are:
Auto connect to ID (0 to disable) = 0
Group call is checked
Unlink TG/ref on auto connect = unchecked
Auto connect TDMA channel = 0
Auto connect interval (sec) = 0
DMO TDMA channel = 0
Route cross mode calls to ID = 93 (or whatever TG is connected)
Group call is checked
Unlink TG/ref on auto connect = unchecked
Reroute DMR TG9 calls to ID (0 to disable) = 0 my understanding is Openspot does that automatically when set to Homebrew/MMDVM
Group call is checked
Disable dynamic routing is unchecked
Keepalive interval (sec) = 5
RX timeout (sec) = 30
Connect retry interval (sec) 1

To connect I go to the Quick Setup page (I have Advanced mode checked) I pick D-Star for the type of radio and then click on DMR then Brandmeister. I select the TG I want and then click on Connect.
On the Status tab I see a "Disconnect (4000)" from my callsign in dark gray highlight, then immediately see a call to my callsign from "Disconnect (4000)" in light gray highlight.

Then when I key up, the Status tab shows a message to CQCQCQ from my call sign in dark gray highlight. But apparently no audio goes to the talkgroup.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Set your valid, registered callsign in your transceiver so this callsign will be used as the source callsign by your transceiver. Make sure you don't enter any whitespaces or prefixes/suffixes before and after the callsign.

If you don't want to change the callsign in your transceiver then go to the Settings page, DMR settings section, and enter your valid, registered DMR ID as the "Default cross mode source DMR ID". This ID will be used as the source DMR ID for calls where the source callsign cannot be translated to a valid DMR ID.

HA2NON I have my callsign set as the source callsign in my transceiver, and I also have the DMR Settings page box for "Default cross mode source DMR ID" checked with my DMR ID listed there.
I am thinking now this may be a procedural problem. When I use Quick Setup to connect to a talkgroup, that talkgroup is shown on the Status page as the "Brandmeister linked dynamic TGs", Does that mean I need to a short call or something to that TG before my transmission will be heard?

Talkgroup linking/unlinking is done entirely by the server/network. If you start a call to a TG then the server will automatically dynamically link that TG for you. https://manuals.sharkrf.com/openspot4/en/dmr-usage-notes.html#page-top

Have you tried keeping the TG in the YourCall on your ID51 ? ie just having 9 there or even nothing ?

I connect first with "BM2341" programmed in YourCall in my HT and then turn the Knob to give a YourCall of the "91" - these are all pre-programmed without the quotes in my radio so I haven't got to be at a computer keyboard at all.

You have pre-empted my question to Norbert - with a D-Star radio cross-mode to DMR should the YourCall be blank once set up or should it be left at the TalkGroup number or CQCQCQ ? The manual doesn't really mention this.

You can leave the TG ID in the your call.
