I am new to using an openspot. I have my own pistar hotspot so I am familiar with the setup of hotspots. But I just got an open spot 1 from a fellow ham and want to set it up. I have logged in and setup brandmeister server and it voice responds saying connected and am hearing that on the radio. But when I key up TG 9999 in a private call nothing happens. I don't see a modem light turn on during that time. It is like the hotspot isn't hearing the radio.

Please run DMR AutoCal or manually adjust the demod mode on the Modem page for the lowest BER. Test your own voice using the built-in local echo on DMR ID 9999.

HA2NON how does autocal work. I hav turned it onto that mode but wasn't sure of the steps after that.

HA2NON Ok I see it and it says if that doesn't work then to just try each demodulation mode. Which I had tried autocal and it wasn't working but didn't see this part in the book on how to use. That helped a bunch. For me I have a TYT MD-380 and it works well on Mode F. I tried D and it was hearing the hotspot but mode F allowed the hotspot to hear the radio.
