Second Openspot - what do I need to know about duplicate DStar & DMR IDs?

I just ordered a second Openspot 4. I’m using my DStar handheld (D75) with both. The one I have now is in my car and I love it. I’m getting a second for my base.

I think I read somewhere but can’t find it, that you need to amend something to your DMR and DStar IDs. Is this the case? And for DMR would that also apply to BM, TGIF, etc? And for future reference if I get into C4FM, do I need to care for that as well?

D-STAR servers do not support SSIDs, you have to use your same callsign in both openSPOTs. If the currently used server only supports one connection per callsign then make sure only one of the openSPOTs is trying to connect at the same time. You can try appending an SSID to your callsign like KB1TTV-1 and KB1TTV-2, if the server is not using callsign verification, then maybe it will accept this and let your devices connect at the same time.
