AlanBeck Hi, My openspot 4 is just pulsing blue and won't transmit or receive. I am trying to use the network on my phone and have also tested on my house network. I am unable to use the device at all. Alan VY2XU
HA2NON Blue status LED means the openSPOT4 is trying to connect to the configured WI-Fi network. http://manuals.sharkrf.com/openspot4/en/led-states.html#status-led If the status LED is blue for several minutes, then the configured Wi-Fi network is unreachable, and sharkrf.link won't work. Please do the following: You can reconfigure the Wi-Fi connection if you switch back the openSPOT4 to access point mode by pressing the Wi-Fi button for 3 seconds. The openSPOT4 will start broadcasting it's own Wi-Fi network called "openSPOT4 AP", indicated by white LED. You can connect to this network using your browser device (phone/tablet/computer). Make sure you place your phone/tablet/computer close to the openSPOT4 during this time. The initialization setup will pop up, where you can select the country of operation and configure a Wi-Fi network for the openSPOT4 to connect to. If the initialization setup does not show up automatically, then open http://192.168.99.1/ in the browser. This address is only active while the openSPOT4 is in AP mode, indicated by white status LED. Make sure you've entered the Wi-Fi password case sensitive. Make sure you have enabled 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, not just 5GHz. Place the openSPOT4 close to the Wi-Fi router. Make sure the Wi-Fi bandwith is set to max. 20Mhz in the Wi-Fi router (see explanation here: https://superuser.com/questions/542191/does-moving-my-router-from-20mhz-to-40-mhz-increase-my-wireless-speed) If it still does not work, try switching Wi-Fi channel on your Wi-Fi router. Only channels 1, 6 or 11 should be used (see explanation here: https://corecabling.com/whats-the-benefit-of-channels-1-6-and-11/)
