I do wonder: can the M1KE be used as a classic hotspot? In other words: can it still be used in combination with a d-star/dmr radio like the openspot 4 pro? I checked the manual and all screenshots but i cannot find a field "frequency" anywhere.

That would be good if it could and more than likley swing me into getting one, but if not i would rather have a radio and my OS4 with me, looks a bit like a kids toy i have seen in the past somewhere.

The M1KE is not a hotspot. If you need hotspot functionality then we have the openSPOT4 and the openSPOT4 Pro.

Hello All, and a Happy Thanksgiving from the US.

I see this product as a benefit for me, as I am going to Thailand soon, and I do not think my US Ham ticket will work. I can use the internet with wifi with this product to give me access while visiting.

Yup! I was watching for this to go on sale, and it went directly to SOLD OUT. At this point at least we get to hold until the reviews are out. I am sure the YouTube stars got theirs today and will be reviewing as soon as they have them in their hands. I have two PRO 4's already and they are great. I will check back after the new year if the reviews are good. Putting the credit card away for now 🙂
