Must key PTT button to hear

Hi,
I have the TGIF network working but when I go to a room that is active I don’t hear anything. It’s not until I key up the PTT button that I hear everyone. Why is this? Is there a setting I must adjust?

Probably the talkgroup is not linked and that's why the server does not send calls to your device. It gets linked as soon as you start a call to its ID and then the server starts sending calls. Read more about talkgroup linking here: https://manuals.sharkrf.com/m1ke/basic/dmrusage.html

Yes TGIF requires quick key up to get into the room. Some other modes do as well.

You will also notice if you use DMR Brandmeister does not show you in the room listing either as static or dynamic.
