Hey team got my M1KE today I love it but it wont do Voice Wide is there anyway it will.

Here in Australia a lot of it is in voice wide on C4FM.

VW mode uses the old IMBE voice codec (the same as P25) which is not supported by the onboard voice codec hardware.

Here is the page that mentions the IMBE codec, as you can see it is shown as a legacy technology.

Based on this I would be surprised if DVSI recommend new products with IMBE support.

Tyrbiter I can see how this would be true, but VW is a still part of Yaeus's Fusion protocal, and P25 is current day technology with new P25 radios being developed. I sincerely hope it doesn't completely go away in the SharkRF products.

I hope that SharkRF will comment, as you can see they have released one new product that probably uses the AMBE 4000 series chips instead of the 3000 series. Perhaps that is because of purchasing limitations.

It's also possible that the transcoding done by the servers is different now, sorry I am really not up to speed with the m1ke.

None of our products use transcoding servers. We haven't decided yet whether there will be P25 and voice wide support in our future products or not.

Nobert - My most sincere thanks for adding P25 and VW to the M1KE. With Allstar and P25, the M1KE is the most all inclusive VoIP Ham Radio device ever created. Much respect, my friend.

If possible in the next generation M1KE device, the ability to plug in a speaker mic / external speaker / Bluetooth connectivity would be welcomed by all.
