AP Mode

Can someone tell me what the correct sequence would be when utilizing the WiFi AP mode. For example if I am at a local McDonald’s that has free WiFi, don’t need a password, would I connect first with my android phone, then select AP mode or select AP first before connecting to WiFi? I am not able to get connected with this scenario. The same thing could occur while staying at a lodging facility….. 🤔

You can connect to the Wi-Fi network using the device display. In this case you don't need to switch AP mode.
AP mode is useful if you want to use your phone to connect using the web interface.

Ok, I think then lies the issue when connecting to a free WiFi network such as in a McDonald’s restaurant or hotel, there is no password per se but a splash screen. I am not sure how to get beyond that limitation of the M1KE because a password is required in order to connect?
