Hello again… please see below.

As you know I’ve emailed you 3 times and posted here about the loss of my OS3 device ID after I installed the V68 “stable” firmware and you have replied stating it’s too old and you no longer support the OS3 even though you are supporting other OS3 cases here.

This was your support to yet another customer who did a manual update and lost the device ID clearly a bug. This was an OP2 so when you supported the device it was nearly 5 years old which is good service but if your manual update caused it think it stands to reason you should support the customer. My OP3 has the same bug from a manual update which you requested I carry out it’s a similar age yet you won’t assist.

I find it a little difficult to accept that you actually requested I install the “stable” firmware V68 manually as part of another issue.

Please advise.

Good evening, I am bringing an old Openspot 2 device back to life for a friend of mine.
After a manual firmware update the device is working again, but on the Status page of the web interface the UserlD shows as 00000000.
How can the original device ID (OBDF91D1) be restored?

Sorry, but the openSPOT2 and openSPOT3 have both been discontinued for years and we no longer support them. You can use the devices with zeroed UIDs without issues. Use http://openspot2.local/ and http://openspot3.local/ to open their web interfaces.
