Not sure if this helps or not, but REF030 has a "one connection per callsign" policy. (I'm not sure if the policy is "only one connection to module C" specifically, or "only one connection to any module on REF030".) I've been told that REF001 has a similar policy. Note that not all reflectors have this policy, but I figure it's better not to test it. (I have done it once on a different reflector, by accident, and I didn't get banned for it, but I'm not going to push it.)
If you own more than one hotspot, make sure that no more than one is connected to REF030 at the same time. If you own an M1KE, it also connects to reflectors using an IP socket, so if it's connected to REF030C, it will count as your one connection.
I have an OSP1 on the shelf next to my home router which stays connected to REF030C, and if I forget to unplug its power, I can't connect to REF030C from any other devices using my call sign (which is irritating when I forget to unplug it before leaving the house).
