Managing OS4 on iPhone providing hotspot

New to this so bear with me! Am I right in thinking that it’s not possible to manage an OS4 from safari on an iPhone which is also providing the device internet access as a hotspot?
I can access the device from another device (iPad) also using the iPhone hotspot but that’s one too many things to transport with me.

It's possible to open the web interface of your OS4 from the phone which is providing internet access. Use https://www.sharkrf.link/ to open the web interface. If it's not working the enter the IP address assigned by your phone to the OS4 into the web browser's address bar. You can usually find the IP address on your phone's Wi-Fi hotspot settings client list.

Well I’ve spent hours experimenting with this and cannot get this to work. Connecting to SharkRF.link reverts to the ip address the unit was using on the home network as the iPhone is still on that network. Disconnecting the iPhone Wi-Fi also disconnects the iPhones hotspot service. I don’t see a client list on the iPhone but I noted the address previously used - can’t connect as it’s on the different network.

In summary, my iPhone can never reside on the ip network created by its hotspot service and so cannot route to the OS4

I can't see how the iPhone can be connected to your home WiFi and be providing an access point for the OS4, it has to be one or the other.

Tyrbiter no, it stays resident on the home network and provides hotspot access on a second ip network

I'm not aware of an iPhone having 2 WiFi chips so I don't understand your description.

If the iPhone has its hotspot enabled then it will be bridging its cellular connection to its WiFi hotspot, the OS4 connects to that iPhone AP. If this is the case then the IP address the iPhone hotspot allocates to the OS4 should be reachable via the phone's browser.

The openSPOT reports to sharkrf.link the IP address it gets from the currently connected network's router. Maybe the openSPOT4 can't report its new IP address to the sharkrf.link service (internet is not available?) or the openSPOT is still connected to your home Wi-Fi network. Look at the log over the USB serial console and enter the "net" command to print the current network config.

No! All clients are not visible even using a network scanner in hotspot mode anymore this is a security change. You product no longer work under the current IOS. I can connect and use the radio on its last setting, but there is no way to operate Openspot controls . sharkrf link will not work under hotspot

Openspot will not work to control and use it in hotspot mode on the iPhone.

If I wrong please post exactly how to make it work.
There is not a client list on the iPhone
Sharkrf link cannot find it.
So please stop posting BS on all the complaints.

Some things are just sent to try us! Tried it again this morning without making any changes and it just works!

Incidentally, the iPhone is still connected to my home network 192.168.1.0 and the OS4 is connected to the iPhone hotspot network of 172.20.10.0 so I can only assume the iPhone is routing between the two. Interesting.

Enable Voice Announcements and make a proper call to the correct ID:

OR alternatively use my Windows DMR monitor over here, it will query the HotSpot's IP Address through USB and will let you connect to the OS4's webpage.
It all boils down to using the same (wifi) network for your hotspot+ mobile+ laptop/pc.
