AllStar WiFi 7 Connection

Changed my WiFi router to a TP-Link WiFi Mesh 7 router system. Used the same SSID. M1KE has v27 firmware. Using any AllStar server about every 10 seconds there is a pause for half a second in the audio stream. Also, the LED momentarily turns yellow from the normal solid green color. The router is 20 feet away and M1KE has a signal strength of -34 dBm. Changing to the BrandMeister or Dstar networks do not exhibit this audio stream interruption. There is only one wifi network in the SSID#1 settings.
Suggestions?

It may be doing some sort of band steering, the problem is that the M1KE only has 2.4GHz so any time when the router isn't providing a 2.4GHz connection means the M1KE gets no signal.

AllStar is analogue so there is no way of buffering packets which DSTAR and DMR should be able to and probably are given your description.

After some trial and error, the previous post was correct. The new TP-Link router is tri-band and the default for all IP's is to search the best connection on all three bands (2.4, 5, 6 GHz). The solution is found in the TP-Link phone app in the Clients listing, touch the device name in the list, then menu Connection Preference and select the 2.4 GHz option (Auto is default). Touch on the Save menu option.

I think that firmware coders are often quite forgetful about 2.4GHz only products, these seem to get far more than their fair share of problems.
