Hello: I am also discussing this via email with SharkRF but wanted to see if additional insight is available from the group.
System: MacBookPro, OS Ventura 13.7.5, Google Home network with 1 router node and 2 WiFi extenders.
When following the manual's setup sequence, I see the following:
1) Connect to my home network on the WiFi setup page. I choose the Google Home node with the strongest signal, enter PW for WiFi, press connect(connection to other nodes give the same result as described shortly).
2)Dialog box indicates connecting, and then “Acquiring IP address”. Message appears: “Can't connect to the requested Wi-Fi network. Reason: the openSPOT4 was not able to acquire an IP address.”
3) Press OK in error message, and then “Skip” in dialog box
4) Dialog box indicates now shows “Connected” window, but does not call out my WiFi network specifically by name as indicated in manual.
5) Press “Next” and OK in box indicating that AP will be turned off
6) OSP LEDs alternated orange and green as described in manual, indicating connection.
7) Home network reconnects
8) Go to sharkrf.link where UID is entered: system will not connect; times out on Safari, Brave and Chrome browsers, receiving messages such as “the server where this page is located isn’t responding”, or “Safari can’t open the page 192.168.86.20 because Safari can’t connect to the server 192.168.86.20.”
I have tried resetting the OS4 to factory settings several times, turned off iCloud Private Relay (from manual), restarted my modem and Google Home network several times, but without success.
Can anyone provide some additional suggestions? I'm starting to think that the OS4 will not work with my particular WiFi setup.
Thanks,
Joe/WB0CDY
